The African Energy Chamber (AEC) is a leading pan-African industry association representing the interests of Africa’s energy sector stakeholders, including governments, national oil companies, independent operators, service providers, financiers, and investors.
The Chamber serves as a platform for advocacy, investment promotion, and policy engagement, working to advance Africa’s energy development agenda across oil, gas, power, and emerging energy technologies. Its mandate focuses on supporting responsible resource development, improving investor confidence, and ensuring that Africa’s energy resources drive inclusive economic growth and energy access.
AEC plays a prominent role in policy dialogue, regulatory advocacy, deal facilitation, and market intelligence, engaging closely with African governments, regional institutions, and international partners. It champions African-led energy solutions, local content development, and pragmatic approaches to the energy transition that reflect the continent’s unique development needs.
For investors, the African Energy Chamber acts as a key market connector and knowledge hub, providing access to decision-makers, investment opportunities, sector insights, and high-level forums. Through strategic events, research publications, and stakeholder engagement, the Chamber works to position Africa as a competitive, credible, and investable global energy destination.
The Chamber is also the organizer of African Energy Week (AEW): Invest in African Energies, one of the continent’s premier energy investment events, convening industry leaders, policymakers, and financiers to drive deals and partnerships across Africa’s energy value chain.
